Read on the Lawn with a Root Beer Float

The Concord Branch, in collaboration with the Historic Mann House and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, invites the community to enjoy a relaxing afternoon during “Read on the Lawn” — a unique summer reading event featuring free root beer floats and the serene beauty of the Mann House grounds.

Bring your favorite book or check out a new one from the Concord Branch Library, then stroll down to the Historic Mann House to sit under the shade of its majestic trees, sip a refreshing root beer float, and enjoy a peaceful moment of reading in the open air.

This event is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but adults without children are also welcome to join the fun and receive a complimentary root beer float.

Come celebrate the joy of reading, the charm of the Historic Mann House, and the sweet treat of summer!

If raining, event will be held at the opera house inside the Concord Branch.
